Bruce Odle, President

Bruce is President of Imagn Images, with overall management, business development and strategic partnerships responsibility since May 2008. He played an integral role in growing the company into the largest dedicated sports photojournalism service in the U.S. and led the company’s acquisition by Gannett Co. in August 2011 and its recent spin-off into a standalone company.

Prior to Imagn Images, Bruce was co-founder, COO, and in-house legal counsel for an educational technology company that grew from startup to market leader in ten years. His responsibilities included raising $10 million in private equity, managing shareholder relationships, and securing strategic partnerships for global sales and distribution. He also led the spin-off of a sports performance division, where he oversaw product development and beta testing with 50 college teams and 100 professional athletes from the NBA, NFL, and NHL. Bruce practiced commercial and corporate law as an associate at the boutique law firm of Cromer and Eaglesfield in Indianapolis. He also served as special counsel for agribusiness for Indiana Senator Richard Lugar.

He is a graduate of Purdue University and Drake University Law School with International Law Studies from Notre Dame Law School in London, England. He currently resides in Charlotte, North Carolina.

Justin Weiss, Vice President of Sales

As Vice President of Sales, Justin is responsible for growing the photography business by expanding existing client relationships and creating new ones. With the explosion of new content channels, Weiss helps shape the company’s vision and strategy for growing its image licensing and agency services. This includes leading the expansion of Imagn’s sports agency service, which is the largest in North America by scale, covering over 10,000 sporting events annually.

Justin was previously Vice President of Sales, Americas, at Getty Images, where he spent over 21 years at the media company. Weiss was responsible for hundreds of millions of dollars in revenue and oversaw a sales team of over 200. Justin managed key client relationships and was responsible for the company’s largest global deals.

Justin lives in New York City, is married with two children. He loves the outdoors, namely fishing, loves all animals, and enjoys snowboarding whenever he can. He is a graduate of the University of Maryland – Go Terps!

Jerry Lai, Senior Director of Editorial Content

Jerry serves as the Director of Editorial Content. He is responsible for the overall management of photo production and leads the editorial team for the company. In addition to being a highly accomplished photographer himself, Jerry oversees the management of the company’s workflow criteria and standards. He has led the editorial and news operations since 2009 and has taken them to new heights while maintaining a high level of service and support to meet the needs of his clients.

Jerry’s extensive photojournalism experience prior to joining us includes work as a contributing photographer on feature, sports and entertainment news for every major news agency, including Associated Press, Getty Images and Reuters.

He holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Northwestern University.

Kristi Guerriero, Senior Manager of Photo Operations

Kristi is the Photo Operations Manager. Her primary responsibility is to manage and coordinate Imagn’s national network of professional sports photographers. She serves as the company’s liaison for league relations and commercial matters, national editorial accounts, and creative accounts.

Kristi has extensive experience in sports photography production, business, and large-scale people management. Prior to Imagn Images, she was a Production Manager and Player Relations Manager at Tristar Productions. Kristi has over 20 years of experience in sports licensing, player and team relations, photo editing, and creative development at AP Images, The Upper Deck Company, Fleer Trading Cards, and ESPN The Magazine.

Kristi is a Penn State graduate and lives just outside of New York City in Point Pleasant, New Jersey.

James Lang, Chief Technology Officer

James serves as Chief Technology Officer, effectively developing, executing and managing Imagn Images’ technology strategies. He is also responsible for the global infrastructure that serves the business needs of the company’s media members, clients and partners.

He has over 15 years of experience in Information Technology and Software Development. In addition to his efforts in technology, James has always had a simultaneous passion for photojournalism and worked as a freelance photographer until 2012 when he joined us full time.

James is a proud graduate of Virginia Tech and lives just outside Philadelphia with his wife and three children.
