Adityanath’s Notes on Food Hygiene

At the event, Adityanath addressed recent food hygiene scandals, noting that customers at the new restaurant would not be served “saliva rotis” or “Hapur-wala juice,” referring to incidents where vendors were caught spitting on food or contaminating juice with urine. These incidents have led to arrests in districts like Saharanpur, Ghaziabad and Noida.

“It is good that at least people here will not be served Hapur-wala juice or roti with saliva. Whatever is served here will be pure,” Adityanath said.

Government focuses on food safety

In light of these incidents, Adityanath highlighted the government’s efforts to maintain food safety. Earlier this year, the state government had directed food vendors along the Kanwar Yatra routes to display their names to ensure greater transparency and informed consumer choices.
