Dragon Age: The Veilguard Game Director Talks DLC and Expansions

During the Dragon Age: The Veilguard preview event, game director Corinne Busche was asked about the possibility of adding content to the game and expansions.
Busche says the team is currently focused solely on delivering the base game as a complete experience.
All three previous Dragon Age games received post-release DLC.

If you’re wondering whether BioWare’s upcoming fantasy RPG will continue to see post-launch development, the answer to that question isn’t clear just yet.

My friend Rebecca Spear recently played seven hours of Dragon Age: The Veilguard and was thrilled with everything she experienced. During the preview event, she asked game director Corinne Busche if Dragon Age: The Veilguard would receive any DLC or expansions after launch.

Busche responded, “Our goal right now is to make the best single-player RPG out there, so we’re very focused on making this featured content as complete as possible.”

Every previous Dragon Age game has received some DLC

While this answer doesn’t give us much reason to be hopeful, there is a possibility that the game will be expanded with paid DLC after launch.

DLC and expansions are a staple of the Dragon Age series, and Dragon Age: Origins has spawned numerous smaller packs and a full expansion, Dragon Age: Origins: Awakening.

While they didn’t receive full expansions, Dragon Age 2 and Dragon Age: Inquisition also received numerous DLC packs that expanded the games’ storylines and revealed some really important information.
