ATLANTA—Pregnancy Aid Clinic (PAC) will host “An Evening for Life” on October 27 at the Georgia Aquarium. As the clinic’s largest event of the year, An Evening for Life will celebrate the organization’s 40th anniversary and raise funds to continue its vital work in the community.

PAC, an independent nonprofit supported by the Archdiocese of Atlantic and funded by donors, provides free medical care to pregnant women who need it and also conducts counseling and parenting classes, among other services.

The fundraiser’s goal is to raise $500,000, which will be divided between three clinics in Roswell, Atlanta and Forest Park.

Sarah Weikert, PAC executive director, said this year’s gala will be an unforgettable experience designed to celebrate the anniversary and its mission of strengthening families.

“It’s such an honor to lead this night and this organization because the work that’s being done is phenomenal,” Weikert said. “Forty years is a long time, it’s amazing. We’re so grateful that we can provide these free medical services and keep our three clinics running because of our donors.”

Tim Tebow, former professional football player, renowned pro-life activist and author, will lead the fundraiser as a keynote speaker. Tebow will share stories about his passion for pro-life.

“We are so excited and honored that Tim will share his pro-life message and share it with our donors,” Weikert said. “His commitment to life and faith reflects our own Catholic values.”

Archbishop Gregory J. Hartmayer, OFM, Conv., will open the evening with a blessing.

Against a backdrop of marine life, guests will enjoy a gourmet dinner with passionate leaders and parishioners who believe in the sanctity of life. Live jazz music will be played throughout the evening.

Guests will be able to participate in silent and live auctions. Items up for bid include signed Tebow merchandise, pilgrimage packages and travel packages. The evening will also feature a chance to win a “Golden Ticket,” where the winner will receive a trip to Europe.

The event is open to all guests and tickets are on sale now.

“An important part of our program is to empower families, help them make healthy life decisions and provide them with encouragement.” Weikert said. “We are an important support system for many women, men and families. And to ensure that our services remain free and accessible to our community, we need to raise these funds.”
