Latest Bachelor degree spinoff is a fairly similar concept to its predecessor, with one simple caveat: all the contestants are between 60 and 75 years old. Bachelor Nation fell in love with Joan Vassos during the third episode Golden Knightwhen she delivered a sweet, simple poem written for Gerry Turner during the contestant’s talent show. Unfortunately, after a successful date with Gerry, Joan had to leave the competition due to a family emergency.

Joan is a widow, mother of four and grandmother of one. She works as a school administrator. When it comes to finding love, she says she is “very picky about a man who is a gentleman…someone who has a big heart, someone who is generous, and also someone who is humble.”

Golden Hen Party premieres Wednesday, September 18 at 8:00 PM ET/PT. The first episode of the season is available now on Hulu Basic (and ABC.com). New episodes will premiere every Wednesday and will be available on Hulu the following day.
