Haelixa and OVS collaborate for second year to increase cotton traceability

ZURICH, Switzerland – September 19, 2024 – Haelixa has partnered with Italian fashion brand OVS for the second year in a row to label and track cotton grown in Italy, ensuring trust throughout the supply chain.

Haelixa has integrated its DNA markers into OVS’ existing cotton operations. The cotton is grown in Italy and DNA-marked at the cotton gin, close to the farm. The fibers are tested throughout the production process, ensuring that the cotton used in this OVS collection is ethically and sustainably sourced. This partnership is a testament to their commitment to promoting responsible and transparent practices in the fashion industry, giving customers confidence in the origin of their cotton.

On the project, Haelixa CEO Patrick Strumpf says: “By following the journey of Italian cotton, we support OVS in ensuring full transparency in its supply chain.” He adds: “The label increases trust in the brand and enables OVS to make sustainable product claims.”
