Flying Fijians coach Mick Byrne has confirmed his decision to retain Isaiah Armstrong-Ravula at fullback for the highly anticipated Pacific Nations Cup final against Japan.

Byrne believes Ravula’s ability to control the game and his versatility as a second point guard make him a key part of the team’s strategy.

Byrne highlighted Ravula’s solid play as a kicker, which helps his team maintain position on the field, as well as his ability to step into the first-receiver role when necessary.

“We’re very fortunate to have two great starters on the field, and Armstrong gives us the flexibility to keep both quarterbacks in the game. He’s a good defender.”

Ravula’s presence in the defence is expected to be a key factor as Fiji looks to clinch the PNC title in Osaka tomorrow.

The match will start at 22:05 and will be broadcast LIVE on the FBC Sports channel.
