Sony Announces PlayStation 30th Anniversary Collection with Retro-Themed PS5 Pro and PS5 Slim

Sony is celebrating 30 years of PlayStation consoles, and to celebrate, the company has announced the PlayStation 30th Anniversary Collection, which includes the PS5 console, DualSense controllers, PlayStation Portal, and more in a new design that pays homage to the early years of PlayStation. As part of the collection, the PS5 Pro and PS5 Digital Edition consoles come in a dark and light gray color scheme, similar to the original PlayStation console that launched in 1994. The collection will be available in limited quantities, with pre-orders starting on September 26.

The PlayStation 30th Anniversary Collection includes multiple console bundles and three standalone purchase options, detailed below:

PlayStation 5 Pro Console – Limited Edition 30th Anniversary Bundle

The PS5 Pro Bundle includes the newly announced PlayStation 5 Pro console in a 30th anniversary design, featuring a grey color scheme and the original colored PlayStation logo. The bundle also includes a limited edition DualSense controller, a DualSense Edge wireless controller, a charging station, and a console cover for the disc drive. However, the disc drive is sold separately.

Other accessories include a vertical stand, an original PlayStation controller-style cable connector cover, four PlayStation-shaped cable ties, a PlayStation sticker, a limited-edition PlayStation poster (1 of 30 possible designs), and a PlayStation paper clip.

Sony will only sell 12,300 units of the limited-edition PS5 5 Pro 30th Anniversary Limited Edition Bundle, with the limited edition numbers engraved on the console.

PlayStation 5 Digital Edition – 30th Anniversary Limited Edition Bundle

The second bundle includes the PS5 Slim Digital Edition in a new design, as well as a matching limited edition DualSense wireless controller and a console cover for the disc drive. The bundle also includes all the other limited edition accessories found in the PS5 Pro bundle.

In addition to the two console bundles, players can separately purchase the PlayStation Portal 30th Anniversary Limited Edition, DualSense Edge wireless controller, and standard DualSense controller, all in a classic grey design.

PlayStation 30th Anniversary Collection release date, pre-order details

PlayStation 30th Anniversary Collection will be released on November 21. Pre-orders for the limited edition PS5 Pro Bundle, PlayStation Portal, DualSense Edge Controller, and DualSense Controller will begin on September 26 in regions where direct.playstation.com is available (US, UK, France, Germany, Belgium, Netherlands, Luxembourg, Spain, Portugal, Italy, and Austria). In regions where PlayStation Direct is not available, these items can be pre-ordered from participating retailers starting on the same day.

Pre-orders for the limited-edition PS5 Digital Edition bundle will begin on October 10 at participating retailers. Sony has not yet revealed pricing for the PlayStation 30th Anniversary Collection products.
