Watch: Gi-hun Prepares for Another Deadly ‘Squid Game’ in Season 2 Trailer

September 20 (UPI) — Netflix has released another trailer for the upcoming second season Squid gamewhich will premiere on December 26.

The trailer shows Song Gi-hun (played by Lee Jung-jae) preparing for another round of a deadly game.

“We’re ready to start the game,” Front Man, played by Lee Byung-hun, says in the trailer.

As the official description says, the second season begins after Gi-hun abandoned his plan to go to the US.

“The cast and crew are really putting their hearts and souls into filming the second season. I hope you will stick around and cheer us on,” said Kim Ji-yeon, executive producer of the series.

First season Squid game was a success when it premiered on Netflix in 2021, with a third season confirmed for 2025.

“We can’t do this fast enough,” one fan commented under a Netflix social media post promoting the season two trailer.

The latest trailer was revealed during Geeked Week on Netflix, which showcased news about the platform’s most popular shows.

Hell Dog The Season 2 premiere date (October 25) was also announced and a new trailer was shown during the event.

“The South Korean drama is back for a second season — and so is New Truth leader Jung Jinsu,” the official synopsis reads. “But what exactly happened to him while he was gone? And what will happen to the New Truth and Arrowhead factions?”
