High surf advisory affecting Bristol County until Saturday evening – breaking waves of 5 to 9 feet anticipated

The National Weather Service issued a high surf advisory at 2:31 pm on Friday in effect until Saturday at 7 pm for Bristol County.

The weather service says, “Large breaking waves of 5 to 9 feet in the surf zone.”

“Dangerous swimming and surfing conditions and localized beach erosion,” explains the weather service. “Inexperienced swimmers should remain out of the water due to dangerous surf conditions.”
