Supercomputer predicts Anthony Joshua to win fight with Daniel Dubois, KO blow to end fight

Supercomputer predicts Anthony Joshua to win fight with Daniel Dubois, KO blow to end fight

  • Anthony Joshua vs. Daniel Dubois: Supercomputer Picks Winner
  • The software predicted a 73.3% chance of the fight ending in a knockout.

If the latest supercomputer predictions prove accurate, boxing fans will be in for a blockbuster fight this weekend.

British rivals Anthony Joshua and Daniel Dubois will go head-to-head at Wembley Stadium on Saturday night for the IBF heavyweight title, and much to the delight of fans, the fight is expected to end in a knockout.

Dubois will attempt to defend his coveted title for the first time when he fights a determined Joshua who is hoping to become a three-time world champion.

Dubois, 27, has risen through the ranks, previously winning the IBF interim title before rising to become IBF heavyweight champion after Oleksandr Usyk vacated the title earlier this year.

Both men are salivating at the thought of becoming the undisputed heavyweight champion, but there can only be one winner. Here’s who the supercomputer is backing.

Grosvenor Sport Super Computer favours challenger Joshua ahead of titanic clash.

‘AJ’ – who has 28 wins and just three losses – has a 77.8 per cent chance of winning in front of a packed Wembley stand.

Joshua, who suffered two straight defeats to Oleksandr Usyk in 2021 and 2022 and has clearly shaken himself, has been in incredible form of late.

The 34-year-old’s return to form has been nothing short of spectacular, with his last four fights dating back to April 2023, including his most recent fight in March against former UFC champion Francis Ngannou.

The boxing veteran landed the punch in the second round, giving him 25 knockouts to his name, proving why he is still considered one of the best heavyweights in the game.

Meanwhile, as the data shows, the title holder had much less chance of defending it.

The same supercomputer says Dubois has a 22.2 percent chance of winning on the night, with the remaining 3.85 percent pointing to a draw.

The likelihood of the fight going the distance is also slim, with the computer predicting a mere 26.7 percent chance of reaching the final bell.

The computer favors “AJ” to deliver the killing blow, stating that Joshua has a 69.2% chance of a knockout or technical knockout.

While Dubois had a 15.4 percent chance of doing the same to Joshua.

It should come as no surprise that, given the players’ track record, the software predicts a knockout.

The current champion has an impressive number of knockouts to his name, with 21 of his career wins coming by knockout, except for one.

The software predicted that 73.3 percent of the fights would end in a knockout.

Dubois has a 15.4 percent chance of knocking out his opponent

Joshua, on the other hand, boasts an equally impressive record: 25 of 28 knockouts, and he has landed the finishing blow in each of his last three fights.

Meanwhile, Joshua is projected to win on points at 15.4 percent, while Dubois has an 11.8 percent chance of winning if the fight goes the distance.
