Before releasing Devara, Director Koratala Siva visits the Tirumala temple

Devar’s pre-release event will be held in Hyderabad.

The authorities of Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams welcomed the eminent director.

Director Koratala Siva is all set to return with the much-awaited film Devara, which will hit the screens worldwide on September 27. The film stars Jr NTR, Janhvi Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan in the lead roles. The film has been in the making for four years. Koratala Siva describes Devara as a large-scale film that has a bigger commercial appeal compared to his debut film Mirchi in 2013. The film has music by Anirudh Ravichander. After several delays, the film’s release date was finally announced earlier this year in April. To make the film a success, Koratala Siva recently visited the Tirumala Venkateswara temple in Tirupati, Andhra Pradesh. He attended the Swami’s seva during the first VIP darshan. The Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams officials welcomed the director and arranged his visit. They wished him success. After darshan, the temple priests blessed him at the Ranganayakula Mandapam and presented the Theertha Prasadam to Swami Koratala Siva.

While talking to reporters, Koratala Siva said that he has a habit of visiting Tirumala before the release of every film of his. “I wish that this film becomes a huge success with the blessings of Lord Venkateshwar Swamy,” he said. When asked about his upcoming projects other than Devara, he said that he will talk about them after the release of Devara. About the premise of the film’s pre-release event in Tirumala, Koratala Siva clarified that it will be organised only in Hyderabad.

His last directorial Acharya was a box office flop. It starred Chiranjeevi and Ram Charan in the lead roles. The film was released in 2022. The censor board gave the film a Devara UA certificate and finally approved a runtime of 2 hrs 58 mins (178 mins). Fans might assume that the runtime is tough, but the makers of the film are confident that it won’t be a problem, considering the gripping narrative and NTR’s charming performance.

Koratala Siva is not the only one who is nervous about the film but Jr NTR too feels the same. During the trailer launch of Devar in Mumbai, the actor admitted that he is very nervous as he is returning to a solo film after six years.
