And now the veteran journalist is revealing her recipe for success. “If you really break it down, Maury (Povich) and I have always had our own thing that we’ve done,” she told Us Weekly while promoting her new book, Connie: Memories“I don’t think you have to be friends with all his friends, and he doesn’t have to be friends with all my friends. He can do whatever he wants, and I’ll do whatever I want.”

The 78-year-old added that spending quality time together – but not too much – is also important. She said: “We always meet up and have dinner together – sometimes we have lunch together – but we don’t get in each other’s way.”

Chung has been married to Povich since 1984 and writes about their affair in her new memories“I love Maury with all my heart and I know he loves me deeply, but sometimes, you know, I don’t necessarily like him,” she writes in her diary. “I think the feeling is mutual.”
