Cast One Tree Hill has some predictions about where their heroes might end up.

During a Q&A to celebrate the 21st anniversary of the CW series’ 2003 premiere, cast members including Lee Norris, Paul Johansson, James Lafferty and Bryan Greenberg discussed what they think their characters might be up to two decades after the show began airing — and whether they’d return for a new series.

Johansson, who played Dan Scott — the sometimes sinister father of Lucas Scott, the main character played by Chad Michael Murray — joked that he was “done with Dan.”

“I moved on. But I had fun playing him and I was honored to get such an interesting character,” Johansson, 60, said to laughter from the audience.

“But he’s gone now and best left where he’s resting next to Wade,” he added, to another playful “boo…

“Where would he be today? Well, I would have run for president — if you know what I mean,” Johansson finished.

As for Nathan Scott, Lucas Scott’s brother and Dan’s son, James Lafferty — who wore the No. 23 jersey at the event to honor his character’s time playing basketball — said it would be “very interesting to find out what Nathan is doing now.”

“I think it would be great if he stayed with Haley and had a family and everything would be fine,” Lafferty, 39, said, referring to his character’s girlfriend and future wife, played by Bethany Joy Lenz. “I think it would be cool to see where his career as an agent is now.”

Greenberg, who played Jake Jagielski — one of the Scott family’s Tree Hill Ravens basketball players — joked that his character still has legal troubles, after Jake was shown fighting a long custody battle over his daughter Jenny and having other run-ins with police.

“Jake, I think, is still hiding,” Greenberg, 46, said, to even more laughter. “He’s hiding out in Panama, playing guitar in a little beach bar, waiting for Jenny to come get him. She’s all grown up — she sends me money.”

“I have no idea,” he admitted, before hinting at a possible revival or reboot. “But maybe we’ll find out, because I heard there might be some stuff happening.”

The cast talks about a possible reboot come just a day after actress Hilarie Burton Morgan revealed she was involved in the creation of the potential new series.

The 42-year-old actress told PEOPLE magazine that she is working with a female-led team “this time around,” and said it “has proven to be a healthier experience for me than working on the original series (after 18 former cast members and crew members previously came forward with allegations One Tree Hill author of the book Mark Schwahn on sexual harassment).

“I can say that with that approach, being able to work with an all-female team and see these stories (and) these characters through a female lens, that’s something that — whether I was working on a new version or a brand new show or a different movie at this point in my life — female teamwork is incredibly important to me,” Burton said.

Her partner Sophia Bush is also behind the reactivation, having spoken out earlier this year about the leak of information about the reactivation. Drama Queens podcast.

While Bush, 42, noted that she “can’t tell anyone anything at this point,” she did reveal a few details about the new series, which PEOPLE previously confirmed was in the early stages of development.

“I can say that after, God, almost half a decade of these conversations, we’ve been able to divide and conquer in the coolest way. And those of us who have a TV production background are having some really exciting conversations,” she revealed.
