A fashion show highlighting the beauty of people with Down syndrome is a source of pride for Chicago.

CHICAGO (WLS) — A fashion show highlighting the beauty of people with Down syndrome is a source of pride for Chicago.

The National Association for Down Syndrome, also known as NADS, will hold its 19th annual fashion show on October 6.

The show will take place from 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at Abbington Distinctive Banquets in Glen Ellyn.

The event’s host will be Mark Rivera, ABC7 anchor and reporter.

Models of all ages will proudly walk the runway to raise awareness and visibility for people with Down syndrome.

The drawing and auction of items will begin on September 30th.

Upon request, it will also be possible to view the facility virtually.
