Missing those slow-motion beach runs and adrenaline-pumping ocean rescues? Baywatch-new drama about a rescuer HI-Surf Rescue premieres tonight on FOX. The action-packed drama focuses on the personal and professional lives of the lifeguards who patrol and protect Oahu’s North Shore, the most famous and dangerous stretch of coastline in the world.

Each hour-long episode of this workplace drama “will feature dedicated, heroic, adrenaline-seeking first responders who save lives in the harsh and often life-threatening conditions of Seven Mile Miracle, Hawaii,” according to the official description of the FOX series.

The action takes place in Hawaii and the main role is played by Robbie Magasiva (Wentworth), Arielle Kebbel (The Vampire Diaries), Adam Demos (Sex/Life), Kekoa Kekumano (White Lotuss), Alex Aiono (Pretty Little Liars: Original Sin) and Zoe Cipres (Roswell, New Mexico) — is the work of award-winning executive producer John Wells (Shameless, West Wing and executive producer, writer Matt Kester (Animal Kingdom, Stranger).
“I’ve lived on the North Shore of Oahu most of my life, and these are our heroes, the most extraordinary extreme athletes you could imagine,” Kester said in a news release.

Rescue: HI-Surf brings a gripping style to Hawaii’s North Shore, where lifeguards and surfers collide with brutal rescues, great character drama and all-around fun,” said Michael Thorn, President, Scripted Programming, FOX Entertainment. “This new franchise is a pure coastal property for FOX, especially under the strong leadership of John, Matt and our incredible partners at Warner Bros.”

The all-new series will have a special premiere on Sunday, September 22 at 8:00 PM ET, following the NFL doubleheader on FOX. It will then air in its regular Monday night slot, beginning Monday, September 23 at 9:00 PM ET, following 9-1-1: Lone Star Season 5 premiere.

Tune in to Rescue: HI-Surfpremiere tonight or any future episodes of the show’s first season, you’ll need access to FOX, which is included in most basic cable packages. However, if you’ve cut ties with traditional cable/satellite, you can still access the channel through live TV streaming services that support FOX, such as Fubo, Hulu with Live TV, YouTube TV, and Sling TV. Additionally, you can stream episodes Save Hi-Surf the day after it airs on Hulu.
