Mayawati urges Dalit leaders to sever ties with Congress ahead of Haryana elections

BSP chief Mayawati on Monday urged Dalit leaders to cut ties with the Congress and other “caste parties” and follow the path charted by Dr BR Ambedkar. The comments come amid attempts by the Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP)-Indian National Lok Dal (INLD) alliance to position itself as a pro-Dalit alternative in Haryana.
