Sister Wives: Robyn’s Daughters Reveal They ‘Weren’t Accepted’ By Kody And His 3 Other Wives

In the latest episode of TLC’s Sister Wives Robyn’s daughters from her previous marriage have admitted that they never felt fully welcomed into Kody’s family.

Kody and Robyn, who married in 2014, have two children together, while Robyn also has three children, including daughters Aurora, 22, and Breanna, 19, from her previous marriage to David Preston Jessop.

Kody, who follows a fundamentalist version of Mormonism, also has 16 children with his three ex-wives — Christine, Janelle and Meri — with whom he was once married.

“My mother’s children and I have experienced ourselves being told directly – multiple times from different people – that we were not accepted, that we were not seen as sisters or as part of the family,” Aurora said in Sunday’s episode.

Breanna added, “My parents could have done a better job of bonding with us as a family, but it never really happened.”

Kody and Robyn, who married in 2014, have two children together, while Robyn also has three children: son Dayton, 24, and daughters Aurora, 22, and Breanna, 19, from her previous marriage to David Preston Jessop.

Despite Christine’s assurances that her children treated Robyn’s children like siblings, Kody seemed to share Aurora and Breanna’s concerns.

“There are people in my family who feel superior to others and say, ‘Well, we won’t let them join our club,'” he explained.

The episode comes after Kody admitted he “wouldn’t be interested” in adding another sister-wife to the family after splitting from wives Meri, 52, Janelle, 54, and Christine, 51, within 14 months of each other.

Christine, who is married to 59-year-old David Woolley, announced in November 2021 that she was splitting from Kody.

At the time, she wrote in a statement on Instagram: “After over 25 years together, Kody and I have grown apart and I have made the difficult decision to step away.

“We will continue to be a strong presence in each other’s lives, raising our beautiful children and supporting our wonderful family. At this time, we ask for your grace and kindness as we navigate this phase in our family.”

Janelle’s split from Kody was revealed in late 2022 on the Sister Wives: One on One special hosted by Kody.

“I am separated from Janelle and divorced from Christine,” he said. “Janelle has made it clear to me that she is enjoying her life without me.”

Janelle confirmed that they “had been separated for a few months” and she “had become really indifferent” to the marriage.

“For me, it wasn’t as painful as it was for Christine. I just felt sad that that life was gone,” she said. “We had a great run.”

In 2022, Meri also announced that she was separating from Kody after more than three decades together.

The former couple said in a joint statement in January: “After more than a decade of working on our relationship in our own unique ways, we have made the decision to permanently end our marriage.

“Throughout this process, we commit to kindness and respect for each other and for all members of our family. We also commit to ongoing healing in all relationships within the family so that we can move forward with forgiveness, gratitude, and love.”
