Jack Burkman, currently acting campaign manager for Mark Robinson

Known MAGA troll Jacek Burkman announced Sunday that he is now the acting campaign manager for North Carolina’s embattled lieutenant governor Mike Robinson.

In a post on X, Burkman praised Robinson, calling him “a great American and the IDEAL Governor of North Carolina,” while encouraging his supporters to donate to the campaign.

The statement comes after top staffers on Robinson’s gubernatorial campaign resigned amid a scandal that engulfed his campaign last week, after CNN reported that the Republican, backed by former President Donald Trump, posted multiple posts on a pornographic website called Nude Africa more than a decade ago.

The KFile report alleged that Robinson referred to himself as a “black Nazi” and expressed support for the restoration of slavery. He also told graphic sexual stories on the forum about spying on women in locker rooms.

Robinson has denied the allegations, calling them “outrageous lies.”

Still, with high-ranking staffers, including the campaign manager and finance director, leaving the campaign, Burkman has reportedly been replaced — though Robinson himself has not yet confirmed the nomination.

The lobbyist is best known for promoting conspiracy theories about the hacking of the Democratic National Convention during the 2016 presidential election, as well as promoting smears against a Democratic lawmaker Pete Buttigieg during his 2020 presidential campaign and Dr. Anthony Fauciwho helped lead the White House Coronavirus Task Force.

In April, the New York Attorney General Letitia James reached an agreement with Burkman and his associate Jacob Wohl over a robocall program that was intended to discourage black Americans from voting in the 2020 election.

Burkman’s last tweet before Robinson’s announcement came in July, in which he made claims that “sources” had told him that President Joe Biden had only “24 hours left to live.”
