Future Brittany Mahomes seemed to take some style inspiration from her bestie Taylor Swift when it came to her outfit for Sunday’s game. Brittany showed up to the game on Sunday, September 22, at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta wearing knee-high red cowboy boots and an oversized Kansas City Chiefs jersey while cheering on her husband Patrick Mahomes and his teammates.

Swift opted for a similar look just one week earlier when she attended the Chiefs vs. Cincinnati Bengals game at Arrowhead Stadium on Sunday, September 15. She wore an oversized red and white shirt and thigh-high black boots. Brittany’s red shoes also brought back memories of the “Karma” singer’s burgundy kicks from her stunning season-opening performance.

Taylor Swift skipped her first NFL game of the season on the night of Sunday, September 22, while her boyfriend Travis Kelce played poorly for the Kansas City Chiefs. The singer was not seen arriving at Mercedes-Benz Stadium for the game or leaving her Georgia city. Kelce, meanwhile, showed up wearing a red pair of sneakers and an oversized black suit.

Swift attended the Chiefs’ first two games of the 2024 season, which were held in Kansas City but not Atlanta. The singer flew thousands of miles to support the team last season, including a nearly 5,000-mile flight from Tokyo to Las Vegas to attend the Super Bowl in February. However, she turned down the opportunity to travel with the Chiefs to Atlanta, even though there is now a gap in her Eras Tour schedule.

Following Taylor Swift’s decision to sit out the Chiefs’ first game of the season on Sunday night, Travis Kelce has once again become a shadow of himself with the Kansas City Chiefs. What’s more, the Chiefs quarterback appeared dejected on the sideline in a viral video during their 22-17 victory over the Atlanta Falcons, where he struggled to make an impact.

Late in the first half, a frustrated Kelce — who finished with just four receptions for 30 yards in Atlanta — was spotted rubbing his right eye and then staring dejectedly into space on the bench. It’s been an unusually slow start to the season for the 34-year-old, who’s hoping to add a fourth Super Bowl ring to his collection in 2024. His disappointed body language was quickly picked up by fans who wrote on X, “He got Swifted.”

Travis Kelce’s signature “bow and arrow” gesture, which his girlfriend Taylor Swift adopted during a London concert earlier this year, could result in a hefty NFL fine. Several NFL players, including Kelce, habitually make the “bow and arrow” gesture when they score. The Kansas City Chiefs posted a video of the quarterback practicing a touchdown celebration in front of a white backdrop earlier this year. In June, Swift even mimicked the move during her first London performance on the Eras Tour.

The pop artist initially mimed shooting an arrow from a bow while singing the song “So High School”, the lyrics of which are: “I was the archer, I was the victim”. Swift appropriately used the gesture while singing “The Archer” at an earlier stop on the Eras Tour. Wide receiver Andrei Iosivas was fined $5,305 (£4,000) by NFL Networks’ Tom Pelissero for what the league called “unsportsmanlike conduct/violent gesture”.

Flavor Flav, a longtime Taylor Swift fan and Public Enemy rapper, recently stated that he will be attending multiple shows on the Eras tour and has no plans to give up his title as the “King of Swiftie” anytime soon. He said that he plans to attend “as many as I can” of the pop superstar’s upcoming shows, indicating that he is not done with his current tour yet.

Flav said, “I know I’ll go to one of them in Florida. After that, I don’t know how much I’ll be able to go. As much as I can, as my schedule allows me to, at least.” The rapper has previously seen Taylor Swift perform live, including during her Detroit Eras Tour stop at Ford Field in 2023, her Los Angeles Eras Tour event at SoFi Stadium in August 2023, and the debut of Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour in October 2023.
