Everybody Still Hates Chris: Comedy Central Releases Trailer; Guest Appearances Announced

Comedy Central today released a trailer and full guest star list for its highly anticipated adult animated series, Everyone still hates Chris. The new series, starring and executive produced by Chris Rock, premieres Wednesday, September 25 at 10:00 PM ET/PT. Terry Crews and Tichina Arnold also star alongside Tim Johnson Jr., Ozioma Akagh, Terrence Little Gardenhigh and Gunnar Sizemore. The series is produced by CBS Studios and Chris Rock Enterprises in association with 3 Arts Entertainment.

Everyone still hates Chris Chris Rock (“Rustin,” “Fargo”) will star as “Grown Up Chris,” telling stories inspired by his experiences growing up as a skinny nerd in a large, working-class family in Bed-Stuy, Brooklyn in the late ’80s. Terry Crews (“America’s Got Talent,” “Brooklyn Nine-Nine”) will voice “Julius,” Chris’s father, who is a gentle giant with a relentless work ethic and a penny-pinching approach to life. He grew up in extreme poverty, so he knows the cost of everything, down to the last penny. He works two jobs to support his family and takes a third job on his days off. Tichina Arnold (“The Neighborhood”) will voice “Rochelle,” Chris’s mother, who is intelligent, strong and has a caring spirit, but can also be hot-headed, especially when it comes to her children. She doesn’t tolerate any nonsense, so she quits more jobs in a month than most people do in a lifetime.

In addition to the cast of the original “Everybody Hates Chris,” Tim Johnson Jr. (“Saturdays”) will voice “Young Chris,” a nerdy kid who tries to be cool but is outshone by his younger brother, tortured by his younger sister, and thwarted by his stingy father; Ozioma Akagha (“DELILAH”) will voice “Tonya,” Chris’ feisty sister with the face of an angel and the heart of a demon who gets along with her middle brother Drew but takes every opportunity to get Chris into trouble; Terrence Little Gardenhigh (“Danger Force”) will voice “Drew,” the family’s golden child who is the epitome of Black Perfection: handsome, athletic, a ladies’ man, taller and cooler than his older brother Chris; and Gunnar Sizemore (“Kung Fu Panda”) will voice “Greg,” Chris’ only friend at school who is girl-obsessed, status-conscious and raised by a single father.

Guest stars in the upcoming season include Jaylen Barron, Todd Bridges, Nicole Byer, Monét X Change, Eugene Cordero, Andy Daly, Loretta Devine, Earthquake, Ron Funches, Jaida Essence Hall, Jackée Harry, Phil Hendrie, Dave Herman, Thirstin’ Howl III, Rob Huebel, Gabriel “Fluffy” Iglesias, Phil Lamarr, Rack-Lo, Jessica Lowe, Vincent Martella, Tisha Campbell, Sam Richardson and Bell Biv DeVoe members Ricky Bell, Michael L.
