Sunrise dietitian Sarah Di Lorenzo reveals popular phrases she’s banned from her home – after denying rumours she’s dating Marc Beretta

Sarah Di Lorenzo has revealed three common phrases she has banned her three teenage daughters from using in their home.

Sunrise’s dietitian shared some rare insight into her family life, revealing that there are four words she won’t let her children use: Charlotte (21), Coco (19) and Chloe (15).

The woman said she has a “swear jar” at home, but it is not used for spewing curses but to discourage her daughters from saying commonly heard phrases.

”Fat”, ”skinny”, ”can’t” and ”I’m afraid” – I don’t accept them in my home, the health guru told The Daily Telegraph.

Sarah explained that her rules are coming into being because she wants to try to positively change the language surrounding the culture of health and diet among her daughters.

“I talk about the importance of health. Instead of saying, ‘don’t eat that lollipop because you’ll gain weight,’ I say, ‘this has health consequences,’ and I choose my words very carefully,” she explained.

The author added that there are no scales in her home on which her daughters could weigh themselves, and she always uses a 22 cm diameter plate to serve meals at home.

“That was the size of plates used in 1960, but today’s plates are 32 cm in diameter, which is over 1,000 calories larger,” she added.

She added that psychologically, people want to see the whole plate, so smaller plate sizes help her family maintain a healthy lifestyle during meals.

Her latest comments come just days after Sarah was forced to deny rumours that she was dating her Sunrise co-star Mark Beretta.

The TV star, who frequently appears on the morning show, became the subject of gossip about her love life following the end of her marriage.

She vehemently denied the “ridiculous” rumours, setting the record straight and saying she loves being a single mother and would be “happy” to be left alone.

“Mark and I are colleagues and friends and he’s a really great guy – but I couldn’t believe it,” the single mother of three told Stellar magazine earlier this week.

“It was ridiculous considering we had never even been there for coffee,” the Channel 7 dietitian continued.

“I was shocked and completely disturbed that someone would want to make something up so badly.”

“There’s nothing sad about not dating. I love being a single mom and I’m so happy that I’m going to spend the rest of my life alone,” she added.

Mark is understood to have remained single since splitting from wife Rachel last year after 22 years of marriage.

The TV star has found herself at the centre of “ridiculous” gossip about her love life after quietly ending her marriage to partner Rachel (both pictured in 2016) last year.

The 57-year-old sports journalist and his former partner Rachel, whom he married in 2001, confirmed in October that they had quietly separated in early 2023.

“Earlier this year, after much reflection and 22 years of marriage, Rach and I came to the conclusion that the best thing for us was to separate,” Mark told Daily Mail Australia via a Seven spokesperson at the time.

“We remain good friends, and our two children and grandson remain our priority. Together we move forward with love, dignity and respect.”

Before publicly announcing their separation, they put their Mosman home up for sale in February.

They ultimately sold their Balmoral Slopes home in May for $13 million, reducing the asking price by $1.75 million.
