Gym trainer raped on pretext of marriage in Bhopal: shocking case revealed

Bhopal: A 37-year-old woman, working as a gym trainer, was allegedly raped on the pretext of marriage in Awadhpuri town.
Police said the accused pressured her to terminate the pregnancy when she conceived a child. Recently, when the accused refused to marry her, the matter was reported to the police. Acting on the complaint of the survivor, the Awadhpuri police on Sunday registered a rape case against the accused.
Police said the survivor, a gym trainer, stated that in 2019 she worked at a private school where the accused, identified as Devesh Patilalso worked. Devesh lured her into a friendship trap and asked for a divorce from her husband, promising to marry her. In 2021, he moved in with her in a civil partnership and raped her.
When she became pregnant, Devesh urged her to terminate the pregnancy.
