‘The Great British Bake Off’ contestant was ‘forced to miss’ the first episode of the upcoming season.

The beloved baking series premiered in 2010 and quickly gained a loyal following of viewers who have been entertained for years with its naughty innuendos, wet bottoms, and ridiculously difficult challenges.

It will return to screens tonight, with a 15th episode.t season in which another group of amateur bakers will fight for the title of champion.

They will be competing to impress judges Paul Hollywood and Dame Prue Leith, and will also be supported by presenters Noel Fielding and Alison Hammond.

However, one of the 12 participants does not have a chance to showcase his skills from the very beginning and does not appear in the tent.

In this episode, Alison reveals to the remaining bakers that one of the contestants is unwell and will be out until the end of the premiere episode, meaning that 11 bakers will try to avoid being eliminated from the show.

“The Bakers were devastated that they couldn’t perform on day two, but they didn’t feel like it and had to wait it out,” a source told The Mirror.

The premiere also features another baker receiving a “Hollywood handshake” after impressing Judge Paul in a special challenge.

The 2024 bakers include a palliative care nurse, a gap year student and a father who moved to Yorkshire in the 1980s after growing up in the Bronx.

Noel, the show’s longtime host who joined the show in 2017, recently shared some fun behind-the-scenes anecdotes from this season.

“I’ll never be able to unsee that. What I love about Alison – and I mean this with the utmost respect – is that she’s absolutely clumsy. If anyone’s going to fall out of a hammock, it’s her. She also fell backwards off one of the workbenches when she was showing off. Don’t worry, she was fine. No Hammonds were harmed in the making of this show,” he told The Guardian.

The presenter and comedian also stated that this season was a “beast.”

“There are some truly exceptional bakers in the tent this year. Somehow the standard just keeps rising. These incredible young bakers are so much better than they should be for their age. This is a year. One of the best yet.”
