Share the Table Announces Winners of Dogs for a Cause Photo Contest

PENDER COUNTY, NC (WWAY) — The Pender County Food Bank just announced the winners of its 2024 Dogs for a Cause Photo Contest, which aims to raise funds to build a new facility.

The winner of the second annual Share the Table Cutest Dog Contest will be placed on a beer at Salty Turtle Beer Company in Surf City in 2025.

According to Share the Table’s Facebook post, Baylee won first place with 2,741 votes, Leia came in second with 2,500 votes, and Bodie came in third with 1,895 votes.

According to its website, Share the Table will hold a launch event at Salty Turtle in early March 2025 to celebrate the release of a new beer can featuring this year’s winner. The second-place winner will receive a Petco gift bag containing toys, treats, food, shampoo and conditioner, as well as social media exposure. Third-place will receive a $50 gift card from Pet Supplies Plus and social media exposure.

Share the Table is a nonprofit organization that distributes food to vulnerable people in Pender and Onslow Counties. Through free community meals, a food pantry, and a school backpack program, Share the Table feeds over 1,000 Pender and Onslow County residents each week.

The money raised during this fundraiser will help Share the Table purchase items needed for the new facility. Each vote in the contest was worth $1.
