A24 Sets Premiere Dates for Award-Nominated Films ‘Queer’ and ‘The Brutalist’ | News

A24 is dated Queer AND This Brutal heads into awards season after recently scoring two world premieres at the Venice Film Festival.

Queer directed by Luca Guadagnino, opens in a limited release on November 27. Daniel Craig, in the William S. Burroughs adaptation, plays a lonely, gay immigrant in 1950s Mexico who falls in love with a new arrival, played by Drew Starkey.

Queer premiered in Venice and received its North American premiere as a Special Presentation at the Toronto International Film. It will receive the Spotlight Gala at the New York Film Festival.

Brutality directed by Brady Corbet and starring Adrien Brody, will open in limited release on December 20.

Corbet won the Silver Lion for best director for this drama, which tells the story of a Hungarian-born Jewish architect, László Tóth, who emigrates to the United States in 1947 and wins a contract that will change his life.

Brutality performed in Toronto and was included in the official selection of the New York Film Festival.
