North Carolina woman charged with running Pee Dee bar without liquor license

DILLON COUNTY, S.C. (WMBF) – A North Carolina woman is in trouble with the law after authorities say she was illegally running a bar in Pee Dee.

Resident complaints prompted the Dillon County Sheriff’s Office and State Law Enforcement Division to respond to The Whiskey Barn on Highway 9 West.

Undercover agents attended the bar over the weekend and determined that Kimberly Oxendine, 41, of Maxton, was selling beer and spirits at the bar without a license.

Police and agents searched the bar on a warrant and confiscated all alcohol stored on the premises.

SLED agents arrested Oxendine and charged her with failing to obtain a required beer and wine sales license, unlawful storage or possession of alcohol, and unlawful sale of alcoholic beverages.

She was booked into the Dillon County Detention Center.
