Syracuse Announces 2024-25 Conference Schedule

Syracuse Announces 2024-25 Conference Schedule

If you gave up on Syracuse football after one loss, you’re in luck. It’s almost October, which means college basketball is just around the corner. And Tuesday night, it all seemed a lot more real when the Orange announced upcoming conference schedule. Here are the highlights:

Early Test in South Bend

Last season was a year to forget for Notre Dame. The Fighting Irish went 13-20, including a 7-13 conference mark. But things got closer at the Dome, as Syracuse narrowly escaped with an 88-85 win over ND.

This season, Syracuse begins ACC play at Indiana. This will be JJ Starling’s first game back at Purcell Pavilion after transferring to Syracuse two years ago.

This is the first home-and-home game against ND. The Fighting Irish return to 315 on January 18th.

Blue Devils return to the Dome

While SU will avoid UNC this year, they will have a tough task ahead of them on February 5 when they face Cooper Flagg and the Duke Blue Devils.

Things didn’t go so well the last time Duke was in the Dome. Syracuse’s three-game winning streak was snapped by a 77-55 loss in February 2023.

Double trouble

In addition to Notre Dame, Syracuse has two other opponents in the home-and-home series in Boston College and Pittsburgh. These are Syracuse’s two protected rivals.

SU travels to BC on Jan. 11 and then hosts them on Feb. 8. The Panthers will play Pittsburgh at home on Jan. 25 and then travel to Syracuse on Jan. 25.

Surfing up

Yes, Syracuse will fly to California for a conference game. But the Orange will only have to make one round trip this year.

SU travels to Stanford on Jan. 29 (Wednesday) and then faces Cal three days later. Syracuse also drew a trip to Texas to face SMU on March 4.
