Bandelier to Celebrate National Public Lands Day on September 28, Admission Fees Will Be Waived – Los Alamos Reporter

BANDELIER PRESS RELEASE

On Saturday, September 28, Bandelier National Monument will host an event to celebrate National Public Lands Day.

Visitors will have the opportunity to learn more about the public lands: different departments of Bandelier, such as Resource Management, Fire Management, Administration and others, will set up tables to talk about their work and how it connects to the park. Visitors are also invited to participate in cleanups in areas that were recently hit by flash floods. Other activities include litter picks around the visitor center, Leave No Trace programs and more.

Additionally, on Saturday, September 28, Bandelier National Monument will waive all admission fees in celebration of National Public Lands Day.

Please note that parking is limited at Frijoles Canyon. It is common for the parking lots to be full. When this happens, visitors are not allowed to enter and are asked to return later in the day. It is recommended to arrive before 9:00 AM or after 3:00 PM to avoid parking congestion.
