Hollyoaks’ Frankie shares devastating choice with Lucas

Hollyoaks’ Frankie shares devastating choice with Lucas

Holly’s Oaks Below are spoilers for Wednesday’s (September 25) episode, which is available to watch now on Channel 4 Streaming ahead of its TV broadcast on E4 tonight.

This article discusses, among other things, the topic of sibling sexual abuse.

Holly’s Oaks teenager Frankie Osborne has confided in her close friend Lucas Hay that she is considering dropping charges against her abusive brother JJ.

Frankie confided in Lucas over a video call at the end of Wednesday’s episode as she tried to cope with the shocking news about JJ’s health.

JJ was due to give evidence in court this week regarding allegations he sexually abused his twin sister Frankie.

The hearing did not go ahead as planned because JJ collapsed in the courtroom and was taken to hospital, where he was diagnosed with leukemia.

JJ said he planned to plead guilty, per the advice of his grandfather Jack, but his family has no idea if he is telling the truth or not.

On Wednesday’s episode, Frankie grappled with how much her life has changed since JJ’s diagnosis.

When Darren planned to visit JJ in the hospital and asked her if she would like to go with him, Frankie feared that her father’s loyalties were already changing. She correctly noted that JJ’s diagnosis did not change the crimes he committed.

Over time, father and daughter came to an understanding as Darren promised Frankie that she would always be his priority.

However, when Frankie later contacted Lucas via video call, it became clear how much recent events had affected her.

Lucas is currently locked up in a juvenile delinquent prison following the attack on JJ, in events that took place off-camera during the one-year time jump.

Frankie told Lucas, “He fainted and they just took him to the hospital. What if he dies? What he did to me will be the only thing anyone will remember.”

Lucas pointed out that this wasn’t Frankie’s problem to worry about, but she replied, “Lucas, I can’t. I can’t do this, not now. I’ll have to drop the charges.”

Will Lucas be able to convince Frankie to change her mind?

Holly’s Oaks is broadcast from Monday to Wednesday Channel 4 streaming premiere at 7am, followed by E4 broadcast the same night at 7pm. Full episodes are also made available on YouTube a week after their release on Channel 4.

Selected omnibus sections are available via Prime Video.
