Jimmy Kimmel Has Wife Responding to Trump After Rally Comments

Late night show host Jimmy Kimmel was the target of the former president Donald Trump insults at a rally in Pennsylvania this week, where he addressed a number of salient political issues, such as the fact that Kimmel hosted the Oscars six months ago.

During the rally, Trump called Kimmel the “worst host in Oscar history” and apparently made up a story in which Kimmel’s wife begged him not to read Trump’s post on Truth Social and not to make the joke “Isn’t it time you went to jail?” Trump said at the rally that he should have followed his wife’s “advice.”

Kimmel’s wife, Molly McNearneyis the executive producer and co-writer of the script Jimmy Kimmel Liveand was also an executive producer of this year’s Oscars. So Kimmel thought it might be a good idea to listen to Trump and let McNearney speak, since she had such good advice.

McNearney took the stage wearing a T-shirt that read “Isn’t It Past Your Jail Time” and holding the Emmy she won for executive producing the Oscars. She had some advice for Trump:

Donald, thank you for your support. And I’m glad you brought it to my attention, because one in three women in this country lives under abortion bans, because you’ve loaded our Supreme Court. Because of you, women in 21 states can’t make their own decisions about their own lives and their own bodies. And ten states in the United States don’t make exceptions for rape or incest. The party that you so brilliantly and beautifully lead, the party that cares so much about motherhood, just blocked a bill that would protect our access to in vitro fertilization. Women are dying and good doctors are quitting because they can’t get or provide the reproductive care that women desperately need. So my advice to you is to shut up and go away. Go to Mar-a-Lago. Spend all day, every day cheating at golf and masturbating to Newsmax and let a competent woman take over. That’s my advice. Thanks for listening.

Trump’s comments about Kimmel came during the same speech in which the former president said he wants to “protect” women and if he is re-elected, “they won’t think about abortion anymore.”
