Nordstrom x Harlem’s Fashion Row Drops Collection

Nordstrom by Harlem’s Fashion Row collection arrives just in time for the transition from summer to fall.


Nordstrom first partnered with Harlem’s Fashion Row, which is a “celebration of the cultural and economic power of Black consumers,” says HFR founder and CEO Brandice Daniel.

The Nordstrom by Harlem’s Fashion Row partnership comes just as trendsetters are preparing their wardrobes for the transition from summer to fall with pieces that celebrate the enduring influence of black culture in fashion. The partnership highlights three black-owned brands: House of Aama, Harbison and Megan Renee, who all showcase their great craft through designs and techniques tailored to amplify black contributions to fashion.

Aama’s distinctive feminine aesthetic is reinforced by signature tailoring inspired by the African diaspora dandy culture, while Harbison’s designs pay homage to his mother, a resourceful working-class woman he describes as navigating society with extraordinary poise. He also drew inspiration from Simon Maris’s Portrait of a Young Negro Woman (1890). Megan Renee’s pieces underscore founder Megan Smith’s dedication to representing strong, bold femininity through pieces including silky button-down shirts, faux leather skirts, and well-structured suits.

“I built my brand around my strong love of suits and blazers, and I feel like that piece really reflects not only who I am, but also the woman I dress,” Smith says. Pop Sugar“It’s bold, strong, but still feminine. I played with fit and proportions that really speak to the female body, and it’s very fresh and chic.”

Following Smith’s participation in the annual Fashion Show and Style Awards in 2023, the decision to work with HFR again through our partnership with Nordstrom was an easy one.

“Placing retail products has been at the forefront of my brand initiatives, and I knew this opportunity would open a lot of doors,” Smith says. “Working with Harlem’s Fashion Row is always a breeze, and once we connected and started working together, I started to feel like they’re now family.”

The collection includes a wide range of sizes from XXS to 2XL — which equates to sizes 00 to 18 for women and S to 2XL for men — and prices start at just $45. Nordstrom by Harlem’s Fashion Row is available on Nordstrom’s website and in 20 stores nationwide, including a flagship store in New York City.
