AMD just launched a fleet of Zen 5-based Ryzen 9000 series “Granite Ridge” desktop processors, but next… next we have the more exciting Ryzen 9000X3D processors… the mid-range Ryzen 5 9600X3D processor has been teased with new rumors.

The upcoming AMD Ryzen 5 9600X3D processor should ship with 6 cores and 12 threads of Zen 5 processing power, with 32 MB L3 cache on CCD + 64 MB V-Cache 3D cache + 6 MB L2 cache + 480 KB L1 cache, for a total of 102.5MB of cache on the 9600X3D.

The most popular new processor in the Ryzen 9000X3D series will be the one that will outperform the Ryzen 5 9600X3D, and the upcoming Ryzen 7 9800X3D will have 8 cores and 16 threads and a total of 104.5 MB of cache. From there we have the Ryzen 9 9900X3D with a total of 140.8 MB of cache and the Ryzen 9 9950X3D with a total of 145 MB of cache.

  • Ryzen 9 9950X3D: 16C/32T with 32MB on CCD (64MB L3) + 64MB 3D V-Cache (128MB) + 16MB L2 + 1MB L1 = 145MB total cache
  • Ryzen 9 9900X3D: 12C/24T with 32MB on CCD (64MB L3) + 64MB 3D V-Cache (128MB) + 12MB L2 + 768KB L1 = 140.8MB total cache
  • Ryzen 7 9800X3D: 8C/16T with 32 MB for CCD (32 MB L3) + 64 MB 3D V-Cache (96 MB) + 8 MB L2 + 512 KB L1 = 104.5 MB total cache
  • Ryzen 5 9600X3D: 6C/12T with 32 MB for CCD (32 MB L3) + 64 MB 3D V-Cache (96 MB) + 6 MB L2 + 480 KB L1 = 102.5 MB total cache
