Lana Del Rey obtains permission to marry alligator tour guide Jeremy Dufrene

Lana Del Rey has reportedly secured a wedding license with her boyfriend, alligator tour guide Jeremy Dufrene.

The artist has known the captain of the ship from Louisiana for years, but rumors about their relationship came to light only recently.

Now, People confirmed that the 39-year-old “West Coast” singer obtained a marriage license on September 23 at the Lafourche parish office in Court Dufrene. The couple must marry within 30 days of receiving the license.

According to Facebook, Del Rey had been sharing photos with the captain since one of her wildlife tours in 2019. At the time, she captioned the Facebook carousel of photos: “Jeremy, let me be the captain of Arthur’s Air Boat Tours.”

In May this year, the “Summertime Sadness” singer tagged Dufrene in an Instagram post, calling him her “guy” in the caption, which raised eyebrows from some fans. The singer and her two siblings were posed with Dufrene in the photos, which she captioned: “Family with my boyfriend @jeremy.dufrene @codyjay.”

Public observations of the couple have shown that they are in a romantic relationship. One TikTok user shared a short video of the singer from August, which captured her walking hand-in-hand with Dufrene at the Leeds Festival in the U.K., which was headlined by Del Rey.

On September 7, the singer went public with her relationship by joining friends and other guests like Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce at the wedding of model Karen Elson to Electric Lady Studios owner Lee Foster in New York. Del Rey and Dufrene color-coordinated blue outfits and were seen holding hands as they left the event.

Dufrene, a tour guide for Arthur’s Airboat Tours in Louisiana, is well known for taking tourists through local swamps and wetlands, giving them insight into local wildlife. According to the company’s website, this includes animals ranging from alligators, egrets and egrets to more than 300 species of birds.

Dufrene reportedly worked in a chemical factory before becoming a tour guide. He is also the father of two daughters and a son from a previous relationship.

Del Rey isn’t the first star Dufrene has dated. In 2015 Twisters actor Glen Powell shared a post on Instagram of himself and Dufrene on a hovercraft. He captioned the post: “J-Bone and G-Trash. We are both single and ready to meet. Find us in the swamp, at the Daiquiris To-Go next door, or on Craigslist Personals. Sorry about the party. (Not sorry).
