Jr NTR craze blows away Salaar Prabhas with 28% higher pre-orders for releases!

After a gap of almost two and a half years, Jr NTR is back on the big screen and the craze is visible at the ticket counters. In India, Devara is poised for a rocking start and even abroad it is set for a thunderous opening. The Tollywood star is capitalizing on his stardom at the North American box office and the premiere performances have exceeded expectations. Read on for a detailed advance booking report!

Over the years, NTR has built a solid fan base in foreign centers, especially in the US. This popularity skyrocketed after the phenomenal success of RRR. In both the US and Canada, pre-sales of the film began very early and gained momentum with each passing day, registering historical figures in premiere screenings.

Coming back to the final advance booking of premiere performances, Devara sold worth of tickets $2.33 million in the U.S., which includes sales of more than 81,000 tickets at 876 locations, according to Venky Box Office. Including Canadian bookings, total pre-sales at the North American box office are $2.51 million for premiere performances.

When converted to Indian rupees, Devara has amassed a staggering sum 20.99 crores gross through pre-sales of premiere series at the North American box office. This exceeded the final advance booking for Salaar’s premiere performances. For the uninitiated, Salaar closed pre-sales at $1.95 million (16.30 crores gross).

So Devara is set to do great at the North American box office and will make a big moolah on its opening weekend.

Directed by Koratala Siva, the film also stars Saif Ali Khan and Janhvi Kapoor in pivotal roles. It is released in Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, Malayalam and Kannada.
