ZEE5, one of India’s most popular streaming platforms, has unveiled the trailer of its upcoming original film Love, Sitara. Produced by Ronnie Screwvala’s RSVP Movies and directed by Vandana Kataria, the film offers a fresh take on family drama, peeling back the layers of what appears to be a perfect home to reveal the raw emotions hidden beneath. As the film premiered on OTT today, Sobhita Dhulipala, who plays the lead role of Sitara, spoke to Bollywood Hungama about her experiences and what attracted her to the project.

Stubborn and emotional character

When asked what made her say yes to the role, Sobhita Dhulipala shared her thoughts on Sitara’s character and the overall message of the film.

“Sitara is stubborn, but also incredibly emotional and impulsive as a character. It’s an exciting mix,” Dhulipala explained. “The script takes viewers on a journey that is relatable as every family has complications and layers in their relationships. This topic explores these layers with a lot of humor, sensitivity and heart-melting moments. Being a family girl at heart, I immediately liked this story.”

Sobhita Dhulipala’s portrayal of Sitara Nair provides the audience with a rich and multi-layered character. While Sitara may be confident and charismatic, she is also sensitive and emotional – qualities that make her relatable and fascinating.

When asked if she saw herself in this character, Dhulipala replied:
“I definitely enjoyed Sitara Nair’s performance as a confident, lovely young lady who is also incredibly emotional and sensitive. I admire well-developed female characters, and this one is definitely one of them. There’s something wonderful about someone who speaks their mind without fear, whether you like them for it or not – Sitara is that person and it’s a quality I identify with.”

The film will be available exclusively on ZEE5 from September 27, giving viewers a chance to immerse themselves in this heart-warming story.
