‘The Ballerina’ trailer reveals first look at Ana de Armas in John Wick spin-off

BallerinaThe first trailer has appeared, giving us our first look at Ana de Armas in such an expected way John Wick TV version.

Officially titled From the world of John Wick: Ballerinaupcoming entry in John Wick Universe stars de Armas as Eve Macarro, who begins training in the Ruska Roma assassin tradition.

As the trailer reveals, she wants revenge for whoever killed her father, and her mission will bring her into contact with a variety of people John Wick favorites, including Baba Yaga himself.

The trailer ends with them meeting and asking for advice. “You are the one they call Baba Yaga. How do I start doing what you do?” Eve says, leading John to respond, “Looks like you’ve already done that.”

Ballerina was originally scheduled to be released in June 2024 before being delayed a full year to its current release date June 6, 2025.

Spinoff directs Underworld‘S Len Wiseman z John Wick director Chad Stahelski is working on additional action sequences during reshoots earlier this year.

John Wick Chapter 3 AND Chapter 4 co-writer Shay Hatten wrote the screenplay Promising young womanEmerald Fennell and Michael Finch.

The action takes place between the events of the third and fourth films. Ballerina also brings back Ian McShane as Winston and Lance Reddick as Charon in one of his final on-screen appearances following the actor’s tragic death.

Last year, De Armas opened up more about rehearsing for the fight sequence with Reeves, and recently called the spin-off “really exciting.”

“It’s dangerous, sexy and very John Wick,– she said. “I think people will be surprised. I’m biased. Of course I like the movie, but I think it’s really cool. This will be amazing.”
