2024 Fall Festivals, Events to Attend in Northeast Ohio

(WJW) — What better way to celebrate fall than with a fall festival? Here at Fox 8 News we don’t think so!

That’s why we’ve put together a list of fun festivals and events happening in Northeast Ohio this fall. Check it out:

AKRON
Stan Hywet Hall & Gardens Ohio Mart
Stan Hywet Hall & Gardens Ohio Mart will be held for the 57th year October 3-6. It will be open from Thursday to Saturday from 10:00 to 17:00 and on Sunday from 10:00 to 16:00.

Ohio Mart showcases a record number of over 140 exhibitors in a variety of media including sculpture, horticultural art, paintings, clothing, woodwork, ceramics, home decor and jewelry.

Ohio Mart tickets are $19 for adults and $10 for youth ages 3-17.

ASH
Honey Haven Fall Festival in Ashland
Ashland’s Honey Haven Fall Festival will be held on Saturdays and Sundays from September 28 to October 27. A maze, backyard zoo, and weekly craft show are just some of the attractions guests can enjoy.

BARBERTON
Barberton Mam Festival
Lake Anna Park hosts the Barberton Mum Festival, featuring over 17,000 chrysanthemums. The festival will be a weekend of free entertainment, crafts, flowers and more, taking place on September 28 and 29 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

BRUNSWICK
Apple donut eating championship
From the Apple Pie Donut Eating Championships to Pumpkin Village and the Johnny Appleseed Festival, Mapleside Farms in Brunswick has something for everyone throughout the fall season. Fall festivals started on September 14 and will last until October 27.

CHESTERLAND
Apple picking at Patterson Fruit Farm
Apple picking is underway at Patterson Fruit Farm in Chesterland! The Patterson Fruit Farm Family Fun Fest will also be open through October 27. Admission is $7 Monday through Thursday. Admission is $11 from Friday to Sunday. Children under 2 are free and seniors are $7 per day.

CLEVELAND
Trick or Treat Festival
Citizens’ Trick or Treat Festival at the Cleveland Metroparks Zoo features meet and greets with costumed characters, 20 trick-or-treat stations and a Monster Mash dance party. Click here to get tickets.

West Clinton Historic Sites Walking Tours
There will be walking tours of the West Clinton Historic Haunts on October 3, 4 and 5. This is a family-friendly, interactive walking tour of the residential neighborhoods surrounding the Gordon Square Arts District that combines Cleveland’s rich history with chilling urban legends. Tickets are $12 for children 10 and older and $5 for children 2-9.

Cleveland Beer Week
Cleveland Beer Week returns for its 16th year October 4-13. Attendees will be able to sample their favorite beers along with new beers and special releases. Special events include:

  • October 4: Pumking Poker Run

  • October 4: Neighborhood Search – Kamms Corner

  • October 9: Overflow

  • October 11: Neighborhood Search – Cleveland Heights

  • October 12: Barrel-aged Bash 4.0

Scary Tower
Tower City Center invites Clevlanders of all ages to celebrate Halloween this October! New this year, Scary Tower will offer guests a world of “ghosts, ghosts and games” every Saturday from 11:00 to 19:00 and on Sunday from 12:00 to 17:00 from October 5-27.

Scary autumn festival
The Spooky Autumn Fest will also take place on Saturday, October 26, from 12:00 to 18:00 at Tower City Center. Guests can come in their best costumes for a day full of games and activities. There will be an inflatable corn maze, a bouncy house, games and crafts, pumpkin bowling, and Spooky Autumn Stage Shows taking place every hour on the Skylight Park stage

At 4:00 p.m. there will be a costume parade for all participants with characters, stilt walkers and more on Level 1 of Skylight Park.

STATION IN COLOMBIA
Pumpkin Festival in the Old West
Old West Pumpkin Fest will be held at the Rockin’-R-Ranch in Columbia Station every weekend starting September 28 through November 3. Admission is $15.

CORTLAND
Cortland Trunk or Treat Wildlife Show
The Cortland Trunk or Treat Wildlife Show at Mosquito Lake State Park will be held on Saturday, October 26 from 6-7 p.m. An educational show of live animals will teach event participants about the natural world and will be great fun for all age groups.

ELIRIA
Elyria Fall Festival
The Elyria Fall Festival will be held on October 19 at Pioneer Plaza from 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. There will be a costume contest, free pony rides, fall vendors, apple cider and more.

KENT
Pumpkin patch/festival at Dussel Farm
Dussel Farm offers a pumpkin patch and festival, corn maze, food and fun throughout the Kent autumn season.

When do the clocks go back?

KIRTLAND
Halloween car ride
Halloween Drive-thru returns to Lake Metroparks Farmpark October 11-13, 18-20 and 25-27 from 6:30-8:30 p.m. The event offers family thrills, chills and adventure from the comfort of your own vehicles. Tickets cost $27.50 per carload and must be purchased in advance. Click here to get yours now.

A weekend with corn and pumpkin
Lake Metroparks Farmpark Corn and Pumpkin Weekend will be held on October 5 and 6 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. It will feature fall foods and drinks, a corn maze, harvest demonstrations, corn husk crafts, pumpkin painting and more. Admission is $7-9. Farmpark members, children under two years of age, and active duty military and their families receive free admission.

LOUDONVILLE
Oktoberfest
Oktoberfest in Mohican takes place on September 28 from 12:00 to 22:00. Guests can expect food, raffles, beer, wine, games and entertainment. Tickets are $10 for those 21 and older. Guests staying at certain locations in the area will benefit from free bus travel.

LUCAS
Ohio Heritage Days Festival
The 47th annual Ohio Heritage Days Festival at Malabar Farm State Park will be held on September 28 and 29 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. This festival is one of the largest free outdoor crafts and living history events in Ohio.

Visitors can enjoy demonstrations of woodworking, weaving, blacksmithing and quilt-making. There will also be displays of Civil War and World War II camps near the iconic Big House.

MEDINA
Autumn festival in Medina
The Medina Autumn Festival will be held on September 28 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Medina Public Square. There will be a maze, an apple show, a petting zoo, a puppy parade and many other events and attractions.

NEW PHILADELPHIA
Autumn lantern tours
Ohio History Connection’s Schoenbrunn Village Fall Lantern Tours will be held on September 27 and 28 from 7:30-9:30 p.m.

Guests will be able to follow the lantern-lit path and discover what life was like in the 18th-century Moravian commune. Activities include talking about maple sugaring, writing with pens and ink, learning how to make candles, and sampling tasty treats. Click here to get your tickets now.

NORTH CANTON
New festival in Berlin
On September 28, the New Berlin Festival will take place in the northern canton, paying tribute to the city’s previous name and traditions.

PARIS
Grotowy Orchard
Arrowhead Orchard features apple orchards, sunflower picking, hay rides and a pumpkin patch. In true fall fashion and orchard style, they even have an apple cannon! The Arrowhead Orchard fall festival will take place in Paris until October 28.

RITTMAN
Bauman’s Autumn Orchard Festival
The Bauman Orchards fall festival in Rittman takes place on September 28 and October 5. Here you can pick your own apples, eat homemade cider donuts, go to the petting zoo and do a corn maze. There are plenty of attractions and food trucks every day of the festival.

SOLON
Solon’s autumn festival
The 2024 Solon Fall Festival will be held on October 5 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Solon Community Park. The event is perfect for family fun featuring local artisans, artisans, delicious food, food trucks and other vendors.

SUGAR
Ohio Swiss Festival
The Ohio Swiss Festival takes place September 28-30 and will feature music, food, entertainment and more daily.

WOOSTER
Woosterfes
Woosterfest is held annually in downtown Wooster to celebrate the season with music, food, drinks, hot dog races and more. This year, the festival will take place from 12:00 to 23:00 on September 27 and from 11:00 to 23:00 on September 28.
