James D’Arcy’s Jarvis Rumored to Return

James D’Arcy’s Jarvis Rumored to Return

Among Marvel’s highly anticipated upcoming Disney+ projects is the next Vision series. It brings back Paul Bettany’s famed android after WandaVision. Now with 2024 approaching its end, Marvel is likely starting to focus on projects that could out in 2026. Stemming from that is a new rumor that James D’Arcy’s a live-action version of Edwin Jarvis could join the cast of the MCU’s Vision Quest series.

Vision Series rumor suggests James D’Arcy’s return as Jarvis after Avengers: Endgame

James D’Arcy first played Howard Stark’s butler, Jarvis, in ABC’s two seasons of Agent Carter. Whether they are canon to MCU’s Earth-616 is yet to be confirmed, but D’Arcy made the jump to Marvel’s movie-centric universe reprising his role in Avengers: Endgame. Tony Stark’s JARVIS AI was based on the human butler that D’Arcy played.

Now, familiar Marvel scooper MyTimeToShineHello claims that the Agent Carter actor will return as Edwin Jarvis in Disney+’s Vision series. He is also said to be joined by Kerry Condon, who voiced FRIDAY in Avengers: Age of Ultron, Tony’s second AI after JARVIS. This time, Condon will also appear in human form.

While MyTimeToShineHello has a good track record, her scoop is to be taken with a grain of salt until Marvel confirms it. But if it were to be true, then D’Arcy and Condon would be joining Bettany and James Spader, who will return as Ultron to the Vision series cast.

The series could involve a flashback sequence set in the past featuring D’Arcy’s Jarvis to further establish a connection with the AI JARVIS. The same scene could theoretically involve Condon’s human version of FRIDAY, as Tony likely based his AI on her, but nothing is confirmed at the moment.

With the MCU’s stacked 2025 line-up, the Vision Quest series could arrive sometime in 2026.
