Iran: Justice Department charges 3 Iranians with involvement in Trump campaign email hack

The Justice Department on Friday unsealed an indictment charging three Iranians for their alleged involvement in the hacking of former President Donald Trump’s campaign emails.

Federal law enforcement officials were expected to announce criminal charges in connection with the alleged hack, sources familiar with the matter told ABC News.

The Iranians allegedly gained access to data and files downloaded from the email accounts of Trump advisers, which included internal documents used to vet Trump’s potential running mate, the sources said.
