ST. CLAIRSVILLE — Eyelash extensions, cosmetic tattoos, spray tans and more are available at Wild and Chic Co. Salon & Spa.

Owner Sadie Hobbs has been at the spa since March, but the official opening took place Thursday evening at 51710 National Road in St. Clairsville.

Hobbs specializes in eyelash extensions, cosmetic tattooing, bridal makeup and spray tanning, and her spa will offer other services including tanning beds, nail services, pedicures, permanent jewelry and mini tattoos.

Hobbs started working at the spa in March and started seeing clients around April.

“I hope this grand opening will make my name more recognizable.” she said. “Then we will actually be a fully functional place to run. It’s just been nice to me lately, taking care of everything.

“I have a pretty consistent clientele and everyone has been supportive throughout this whole thing.” she said. “And none of this would be possible without them, my friends and my family, so they are the only ones who support me.”

Hobbs emphasized that this business is not a hair salon without offering hair services, but rather a beauty spa.

Hobbs graduated from South Hills Beauty Academy and always knew she wanted to own her own business. She added that she has been working in the cosmetics industry for several years. She worked in several other salons and eventually became the owner of her own.

“I always wanted to start my own business” she said. “I really want to create a space that is welcoming to everyone in the industry, where they can come here and just have a safe space where people can just come and relax.”

Hobbs enjoys meeting new people and connecting with customers and making them feel good. She said she wants her company to provide the absolute best, relaxing experience possible and provide customers with a place that is their space to escape.

He plans to open his own retail store within the showroom before the new year, where other licensed professionals in the area can pick up the products they need.

“I’m just thrilled to have made it to this point and to show everyone the space I’ve created.” Hobbs said. ”…So I want everyone to just come and walk around and just enjoy the space that I have created, really celebrate.”
