What’s the story?

In July, it was reported that Konkona Sen Sharma and Mr. Laapata star Pratibha Ranta will be the main character of the new Netflix film produced by Karan Johar.

The project, which has no title yet, will be directed by Anubhuti Kashyap, known for, among others, Doctor G (2022).

Now the author’s report South revealed that production is reportedly progressing at a rapid pace, with filming scheduled to begin in Poland in November this year.

Kashyap’s second directorial venture is a relationship drama

For her second directorial venture, Kashyap has reportedly opted for a relationship drama written by Sima Agarwal and Yash Keshwani.

The insider he shared with South that the final cast has not been confirmed yet and pre-production will begin soon.

The source added, “The production team along with Anubhuti will go on a recce next week.”

Polish landscapes constituting the background for the film

The upcoming film will be shot in Poland for a period of 30 days.

The production team aims to capture the country’s stunning landscapes, which have been relatively unexplored in Hindi cinema until now.

These natural settings will provide a contrasting backdrop to the drama unfolding and will be important to the story.

“Most of the outdoor filming will take place in this episode,” the source added.

Sena Sharma’s second collaboration with Johar’s Dharmatic Entertainment

The upcoming film marks Sen Sharma’s second collaboration with Johar’s Dharmatic Entertainment after their successful venture in Ajeeb Daastaan (2021).

The Netflix original anthology featured four short films directed by Shashank Khaitan, Raja Mehta, Neeraj Ghaywan and Kayoze Irani.

It was praised for its unique storytelling and performances.
