Isla Fisher is delaying the sale of her million-dollar Sydney apartment and lowering the price just hours before the scheduled auction

Isla Fisher has delayed the sale of her Sydney apartment hours before it was scheduled to go under the hammer at auction.

The 48-year-old Wedding Crashers star bought the flat in the Sydney suburb of Woolahra in 1995, at the age of 19, for just $171,500 after landing a role in Home And Away.

The auction was scheduled for hours before Saturday’s AFL grand final, but News Corp reported that the auction was delayed by two weeks.

JK Agency director Michael Minogue told the publication that the auction was postponed due to the “soft” market situation and that the guide price was lowered from $1 million to $900,000 to increase interest.

“The seller said, let’s sell it,” he told the publication.

“We will go in two weeks, if it doesn’t sell before then there is already some interest.”

The two bedroom Woollahra property is just meters from Centenary Park and a short walk from the Bondi junction.

The announcement described the pad as “New York-inspired” and boasting high ceilings and “stunning” period details.

Isla managed to keep her home after a narrow victory during her split from husband Sacha Baron Cohen.

The former Home and Away star was just 19 years old when she first bought the 1930s Woollahra flat, which was renovated many years later in 2020.

Isla and Sacha (52), who jointly filed to end their marriage in 2023, have two daughters and one son, whom they often hide from the public eye.

The couple first met in 2001 and married in 2010, with the end of their marriage coming just a few years after the family moved to Australia.

They moved from Los Angeles to Sydney in 2020 and then to Perth – where Isla’s family lives – in September 2021 to avoid Sydney’s strict Covid lockdown rules.

They said at the time that the move to Western Australia would be permanent.

However, their move from the US to Australia was considered “difficult” for Sacha as he settled in Hollywood and had a shorter flight to London from there.

The exes announced in April that they had quietly split last year.

“After a long tennis match of over 20 years we are finally putting our rackets away,” Isla captioned a photo of them wearing tennis gear.

“In 2023, we jointly filed to end our marriage. We have always made our privacy a priority and have been quietly working on this change.

“We forever share our commitment and love for our children. We sincerely appreciate your respect for our family’s wishes for privacy.”
