Airbnb is offering Prince’s “Purple Rain” house for rent for $7 per person

For a small fee, Prince fans will have the opportunity to live as the iconic music star lived.

Lisa and Wendy of The Revolution have restored Prince’s childhood home in Minneapolis, Minnesota and are making it available on Airbnb from October 26 to December 14.

For 25 consecutive nights, fans will be able to book one-night stays for up to four guests for $7 per person – a nod to the former musician’s favorite number.

According to a press release, the downstairs of Prince’s home features purple velvet wallpaper and a ’80s stereo preloaded with songs “that inspired The Kid.”

The “spa”, or bathroom, was decorated similarly to the “When Doves Cry” music video. There is a clawfoot bathtub at guests’ disposal.

Some of Prince’s favorite outfits were displayed in a closet behind glass. Guests are not allowed to touch or wear his clothes, but Linda and Wendy will provide guests with ’80s-inspired outfits (including wigs, accessories, and eye makeup).

Prince’s home has a “music salon” with instruments, including a drum set and guitar. Lisa and Wendy will give guests instructions on how to play the iconic song “Purple Rain” along with a tape of Prince himself singing the song.

Prince fans will be surprised if they manage to find the secret room in the house. Airbnb will provide guests with a fake vinyl album with clues to where the secret door is hidden.

If guests manage to find the door, the room will be “filled with treasures.”

“We were fortunate to be part of the Minneapolis music scene during such a pivotal era for rock music, playing with Prince in one of the most successful bands of our generation and appearing alongside him in the film Purple rain film,” Wendy and Lisa announced in a press release.
