Andy Carroll is divorcing TOWIE wife Billi Mucklow after a tumultuous two-year marriage

Footballer Andy Carroll has announced that he and his wife Billi Mucklow are divorcing after two difficult years of marriage.

It is understood the couple, who have three children, split in July ahead of Carroll’s surprise move to Bordeaux this season.

The striker also played for Amiens in France last season and the distance is believed to have affected his relationship with TOWIE star-turned-yoga teacher Mucklow, who remains in Essex.

The Sun reported that in July, Carroll, 35, was involved in a street brawl in Mayfair when he was seen “screaming at strangers” at 1 a.m.

The couple met in 2014 and have been married for two years. They had children in 2015 and 2017, while Carroll has two children from a previous relationship.

The couple almost broke up in 2022 when Carroll was photographed unconscious on a bed in Dubai while celebrating his bachelor party.

Mucklow is said to have moved out and taken off her engagement ring, but the marriage got back on track when one of the women in the photo said “nothing sexual happened.”

However, this time it looks like the couple have split for good as Carroll continues to live in western France.

In a statement, he wrote: “Billi and I separated privately earlier this year and are in divorce proceedings.

“It has been a difficult few months for our family, but we continue to strive in a friendly way for our children.”

Carroll made nine appearances for England and was once considered one of the hottest prospects in football, having signed for Liverpool in January 2011 for £50 million.

However, injuries have often prevented him from realizing his ambitions and the 35-year-old is currently playing in the French fourth division after being relegated from Bordeaux for administrative reasons.

Last year he said: “People see the money, but not the sacrifice. I tell Billi, my wife, a lot that I wish I could just walk down the street and be myself. Nobody really sees me. I’m always keeping up appearances.”
