The Minnesota Vikings open NFC North Division play against the Green Bay Packers on Sunday and are hoping to go 4-0 for the first time since 2016.

The Vikings have nothing but good things to say after dominant wins over the Giants, 49ers and Texans to start the season 3-0. It means nothing if you don’t repeat it every week. After all, the 2016 team finished 8-8 and missed the NFC playoffs.

No Ivan Pace Jr. for the Vikings

Linebacker Ivan Pace Jr. will miss a second straight game with an ankle injury after being one of the Vikings’ inactive players 90 minutes before kickoff. Pace was injured in last week’s practice and missed the win over the Texans.

Jordan Addison returns after missing two straight games with an ankle injury he suffered in the win over the Giants. Several other players were included in the injury report but will be active for Sunday’s game.

Jordan Love is coming back for the Packers, not Jaire Alexander

After missing two games with a knee injury, Jordan Love returns to the Packers on Sunday. He was carted off the field in Week 1 with what appeared to be a serious knee injury. It turned out to be an MCL sprain. He’s not 100 percent, but he came back against the Vikings.

The Packers will be without Jaire Alexander, who is sidelined with groin and quadriceps injuries. The Packers are playing without their two best defenders against Justin Jefferson and Addison. The highly anticipated duel between Alexander and Jefferson will have to wait. They didn’t meet each other last year either.

Aaron Jones returns to Green Bay

Aaron Jones returns to Green Bay after being released from the team in the offseason. He signed a one-year contract with the Vikings and had 228 rushing yards and a touchdown in three games. He also has 97 receiving yards and a touchdown.

Jones said this week that if he scores at Lambeau Field, he will find Vikings fans to appeal to.
