According to multiple reports, the Grammy-nominated singer-songwriter – real name Elizabeth Grant – tied the knot with Jeremy Dufrene, a swamp tour guide and hovercraft captain from Louisiana, on Thursday, September 26.

According to wedding footage published by the Mail Online, the couple tied the knot at a waterfront venue in Des Allemands, Louisiana.

A source told People magazine that “the wedding ceremony and reception took place on the same bay where Jeremy runs marsh boat tours.”

Photos from the event show that Del Rey, 39, was accompanied by her father, Robert Grant. She wore a white floor-length dress and her hair was tied in a bun that fell over one shoulder.

Dufrene (49) was photographed wearing a dark three-piece suit and brown shoes.

Representatives for Del Rey did not immediately respond to Business Insider’s request for comment and confirmation, which was made outside normal business hours.

The relationship between a global star and the little-known Dufrene has attracted a lot of attention on the Internet, especially since they only recently made their relationship public.

Del Rey and Dufrene appear to have met at least five years ago

According to their social media post, they have known each other for at least five years.

On March 22, 2019, Del Rey posted a series of photos on Facebook of her and friends visiting “Airboat Tours By Arthur”, where Dufrene took them on a guided tour of the swamp.

“Jeremy let me captain Arthur’s Air Boat Tours x,” she wrote alongside the photos, one of which showed her and Dufrene sitting side by side on a boat.

He also appeared in the background of a photo of Lana posing with friends during the tour.

It is unknown whether the pair knew each other before Del Rey left on one of his tours.

Del Rey isn’t the only star to take part in one of Dufrene’s swamp tours

In 2015, actor Glen Powell posted a photo of himself and Dufrene on a hovercraft on Instagram.

The actor could be seen holding a beer as he posed next to Dufrene.

“J-Bone and G-Trash. We are both single and ready to meet. Find us in the swamp, at the Daiquiris To-Go next door, or on Craigslist Personals. Sorry about the party. (Not sorry)” Powell wrote.

According to Mail Online, Dufrene also organized trips to celebrities such as Emma Roberts and Kate Hudson.

Reports indicate that Dufrene was previously married and has three children

Although their wedding is Del Rey’s first, it is Dufrene’s second.

According to Mail Online, Dufrene was previously married to a woman named Gina. People reported that Dufrene has two daughters and a son.

Meanwhile, Del Rey was previously engaged to Evan Winiker, managing partner at Range Media Partners

Dufrene previously worked in a chemical plant

According to a brief biography on the Airboat Tours by Arthur website, Dufrene worked in a chemical plant before joining the company.

“After some convincing from his family, he obtained a captain’s license and began organizing trips,” the biography reads.

“He quickly realized it was a great fit and never thought about returning to his previous factory career. Jeremy is a great hovercraft captain and loves interacting with wildlife and customers,” he adds.

Dufrene and Del Rey reconnected earlier this year, and she called him her “guy”

Del Rey returned to Louisiana in May, while in the region to perform at the Hangout music festival in Gulf Shores, Alabama.

In May, she also tagged Dufrene in an Instagram post, calling him her “guy.”

A few months later, in August 2024, a TikTok user shared a video of the singer walking hand-in-hand with Dufrene at the Reading Festival in the UK. The post sparked rumors that the pair were an item.

On September 7, Dufrene attended the wedding of Electric Lady Studios owner Lee Foster as plus one Del Rey. They were photographed smiling and holding hands as they left the event together.

The couple obtained a marriage license three days before the wedding

Del Rey and Dufrene’s wedding was not a complete surprise to the singer’s fans, as it was widely reported that they obtained their marriage license on September 23, three days before the wedding.
