The cult classic Tank Girl arrives on Blu-ray in the UK in November

Eureka announced Rachel Talalay’s adaptation of Alan Martin and Jamie Hewlett’s 1995 cult comic book Tank girl will be released on limited edition Blu-ray in the UK this November; check out the cover, photos, trailer and details below…

The year is 2033, and the inhabitants of Earth have been suffering from drought for over a decade. The planet’s water supply is now controlled by megalomaniacal businessman Kesslee (Malcolm McDowell), owner of the Water & Power corporation. But at least in Australia there is resistance. If Kesslee wants to take control of the last well in the Outback, he will have to face the Rippers – mutant human-kangaroo hybrids – and Rebecca Buck, aka Tank Girl (Petty): a woman with a tank, a bad attitude and a determination to save the world from the brink of oblivion .

Brought to the screen by director Rachel Talalay (“Freddy’s Dead: The Final Nightmare”) and starring Lori Petty (“Point Break”) in the title role, Tank Girl is a slice of post-apocalyptic science fiction – and a true cult classic – based on the hit comic book created by Alan Martin and Jamie Hewlett.
