Harry will return to the UK for the WellChild Awards ceremony

The Duke of Sussex is to celebrate the achievements and resilience of seriously ill young people and their families during a rare visit to the UK.

Harry will attend the WellChild Awards ceremony in London as patron of the charity, a position he has held for over 15 years.

The visit will raise speculation over whether Harry and his estranged brother, the Prince of Wales, will see each other, or whether the prince will head to Scotland to spend time with his father, the King.

It seems unlikely that the royal siblings will make contact, as the pair reportedly did not speak during a family funeral in August in the UK.

The king is believed to be spending time at his home in Balmoral and has not seen Harry since the prince rushed to his father following the announcement of Charles’ cancer diagnosis in February.

The WellChild Awards celebrate the inspiring qualities of some of the country’s seriously ill young people and the dedication of those who look after their health and happiness, including health, social care and education workers.

Harry regularly attends the annual event organized by WellChild, a national charity that provides a nationwide network of nurses, home improvement projects and family support programs.

Before the big event, the Prince will attend a reception where he will meet the category winners and their families, before joining guests for a private awards ceremony where he will present the award to the most inspiring child (aged four to six) and will give a short speech.
