The Challenge’s Nurys Mateo condemned by fans for sharing ‘weird’ message from Horacio Gutierrez

Nurys Mateo and Horacio Gutierrez stayed strong after their appearance in The Challenge: Battle For a New Champion.

They appeared as the stronger couple in Season 40, also known as Battle of the Epochs, representing Era 4, but their time on the series was cut short due to early eliminations.

It is unclear if or when they will appear on The Challenge, although many fans are rooting for their return.

Outside of the series, it seems Nurys is already preparing for a future with her man that includes marriage and children.

However, some fans believe Nurys may be putting unnecessary pressure on Horacio as their relationship continues.

Nurys recently published a message in which she tried to manifest her desires, including the desire to get married and get pregnant.

Nurys shared a message with Horacio in which she mentioned her future

On X, formerly known as Twitter, Nurys recently shared an update on how she thinks it will evolve in the coming year.

Even though she reached her first-ever final in the Battle for a New Champion, she has important life goals beyond becoming a Challenge champion.

“My 2025 feels like I’m becoming a new homeowner in a new state, a fiancé, and I would say a mom, but I think we want to wait until we’re 30, which is exactly what I thought. God is great,” she wrote on the platform.

Interestingly, fans had previously speculated that Nurys was pregnant, based on the way she stood in a photo from the MTV VMAs, in which her dress looked like she had a baby bump.

However, neither Nurys nor Horacio have announced that they are expecting a child yet. However, from the conversations shown on The Challenge and her responses to social media posts, it seems that Nurys would like to have several children with him in the future.

Fans called Nurys due to the “strange” news and to “put pressure” on Horacio

While many fans cheered Nurys X’s news about her 2025 goals, others were quick to ask her for comments.

“Huge fan but this is kind of weird lol,” one person replied.

Another person gave her “unsolicited advice” and suggested she “not put so much pressure on Horacio, herself and/or the relationship.”

“It also looks like you’re ‘begging’ for a ring.” Is this really how you want to get engaged? You’ll never know if he really wanted it,” they commented.

Another commenter said: “Putting pressure on him won’t help.”

Nurys may suffer from baby fever after appearing in The Challenge: Battle of the Eras. While she admits that she and Horacio have mostly been apart and not hanging out with their castmates, many people in Season 40 are already parents.

They include Chris “CT” Tamburello, Amanda Garcia, Leroy Garrett, Tony Raines, Darrell Taylor, Derrick Kosinski, Jonna Mannion and Cory Wharton. Hearing her castmates’ stories about the joys of parenthood may have inspired Nurys to try to make that goal a reality for her and Horacio in the future.
